Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels
Tension wheels are a key element in maintaining the proper tension and guidance of the track chain, which translates into its proper winding. They work together with the tensioner to maintain optimal tension, which is crucial for undercarriage durability. Correct tension setting, e.g., 50 mm (+-5mm) for conventional tracks, has a significant impact on machine wear and performance. For example, an overly tight chain can lead to increased wear of track bushings and drive wheel teeth. The appropriate hardness of the tread, equal to or greater than that of the chain links and travel and supporting rollers, ensures resistance to damage and increases durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication helps minimize maintenance during operation.
