Track tensioning wheel. The width of the inner guide flange 50mm complete with shaft.
Idler wheels ITR for mini excavators and compact loaders are manufactured using the latest automated design and production processes.
ITR Tensioning Wheel for JCB 8052
They are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. Idler wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, produced according to the industry's most stringent specifications. Assembly takes place on assembly lines with automatic oil filling process. Idler wheels can be selected in different configurations:
- Tensioning wheel shell
- Tensioning wheel with sleeve and shaft
- Tensioning wheel with brackets
- Tensioning wheel with fork
- Tensioning wheel with tensioner
Quality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The range of tensioning wheels covers equipment from mini excavators to mining machines from KUBOTA® K008 (machine operating weight 0.9 tons) to KOMATSU® D475 A5 (machine operating weight 101 tons) The engineering and R&D departments are located in Italy, South Korea, and China and collaborate to combine know-how, technology, and development capabilities. The engineering departments located in each production facility have specific knowledge about locally produced components, while the headquarters of Italian Engineering coordinates all activities.
Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The function of the tensioning wheel is to support the track chain and guide it so that it is properly wound. Additionally, the tensioning wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a specified degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is correct chain tension. The correct sag for all conventional tracks is approximately 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a sag of 12mm will have a tension value of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. The same machine with a suggested sag of 50 mm will have a tension value of 362 kg. An excessively tensioned track increases pressure, leading to greater wear on the track sleeves when in contact with the drive sprocket teeth and in the chain-tensioning wheel-roller contact. Tread hardness equal to or greater than that of the chain links, drive rollers, and support rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material type: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lifetime lubrication to minimize maintenance.
