ITR undercarriage components are developed, designed, and engineered by USCO engineering and R&D departments, using the latest CAD systems and in collaboration with partner universities. The ITR undercarriage product line is entirely managed in-house, from the purchase of raw materials, through the design of components, mechanical processing, heat treatment, through the entire assembly process to final inspection. Numerous quality checks are conducted starting from the purchase of raw materials. The controls are based on knowledge and experience in metallurgical processes and materials engineering.

Functions of the upper support rollers: They support the track between the sprocket and the tensioning wheel. The durability of the roller tread matches the durability of the track chain links. Support rollers have induction-hardened shells to increase surface hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue strength while maintaining core properties. Values range from 50 to 58 HRC. Shafts and bearings are designed to reduce friction and wear and to provide maximum strength. Lubricated for life to minimize maintenance.

Bronzed plain bearing. The design provides a large surface area for better load distribution. The soft bronze coating in the bearing protects against any small contaminants that could damage the shaft and seals. The Duo-Cone seal consists of two metal sealing rings and two rubber rings. The rubber rings provide appropriate pressure on both sides of the metal sealing rings. Resistant to permanent deformation and temperature changes from -40°C to 110°C. Duo-Cone seals are designed to withstand several tread lifetimes, depending on individual conditions.

Die Fahrwerkskomponenten von ITR werden von den Ingenieur- und F&E-Abteilungen von USCO entwickelt, konstruiert und mit modernsten CAD-Systemen sowie in Zusammenarbeit mit Partneruniversitäten gefertigt. Die Fahrwerksproduktlinie von ITR wird vollständig eigenständig verwaltet. Beginnend mit dem Rohstoffeinkauf, über die Konstruktion der Teile, mechanische Bearbeitung, Wärmebehandlung, den gesamten Montageprozess bis hin zur Endkontrolle. Zahlreiche Qualitätskontrollen werden durchgeführt, beginnend beim Rohstoffeinkauf. Die Kontrollen basieren auf Wissen und Erfahrung im Bereich metallurgischer Prozesse und Werkstofftechnik.

Funktionen der oberen Führungsrollen: Sie stützen die Kette zwischen dem Kettenrad und dem Spannrad. Die Lebensdauer der Rolllauffläche ist auf die Lebensdauer der Kettenglieder abgestimmt. Führungsrollen verfügen über induktiv gehärtete Schalen zur Erhöhung der Oberflächenhärte, Verschleißbeständigkeit und Ermüdungsfestigkeit bei Erhalt der Kern-Eigenschaften. Werte im Bereich von 50 – 58 HRC. Wellen und Lager sind so konstruiert, dass Reibung und Verschleiß reduziert und maximale Festigkeit gewährleistet wird. Schmierung für die gesamte Lebensdauer für minimalen Wartungsaufwand.

Bronzebuchse als Gleitlager. Die Konstruktion bietet eine große Oberfläche für bessere Lastverteilung. Die weiche Bronzescheibe im Lager schützt vor kleinen Verunreinigungen, die Welle und Dichtungen beschädigen könnten. Die Duo-Cone-Dichtung besteht aus zwei Metall-Dichtringen und zwei Gummiringen. Die Gummiringe sorgen für den notwendigen Anpressdruck auf beiden Seiten der Metallringe. Beständig gegen dauerhafte Verformungen und Temperaturschwankungen von -40 °C bis 110 °C. Die Duo-Cone-Dichtungen sind darauf ausgelegt, mehrere Laufbahnen-Lebenszyklen je nach individuellen Bedingungen zu überdauern.
