ITR undercarriage components are developed, designed, and constructed by USCO's engineering and R&D departments using the latest CAD systems and in collaboration with partner universities. The ITR undercarriage product line is entirely managed in-house. Starting from raw material procurement, through component design, mechanical processing, heat treatment, through the entire assembly process to final inspection. Numerous quality checks are carried out starting from raw material purchase. Controls are based on knowledge and experience in metallurgy and materials engineering.

Functions of upper support rollers: They support the track between the sprocket and the tensioning wheel. The durability of the roller tread is matched to the durability of the track chain links. Support rollers have induction-hardened shells to increase surface hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue strength while maintaining core properties. Values in the range of 50 – 58 HRC. Shafts and bearings are designed to reduce friction and wear and provide maximum strength. Lubricated for life to minimize maintenance.

Bronzed sliding bearing. The design provides a large surface area for better load distribution. The soft bronze coating in the bearing protects against any fine contaminants that can damage the shaft and seals. The Duo-Cone seal consists of two metal sealing rings and two rubber ones. The rubber rings provide appropriate pressure on both sides of the metal sealing rings. Resistant to permanent deformation and temperature changes from -40°C to 110°C. Duo-Cone seals are designed to withstand several tread life cycles, depending on individual conditions.

Die Komponenten des ITR-Fahrwerks werden von den Technik- und F&E-Abteilungen von USCO entwickelt, konstruiert und mit den neuesten CAD-Systemen sowie in Zusammenarbeit mit Partneruniversitäten erstellt. Die ITR-Fahrwerksproduktlinie wird vollständig eigenständig verwaltet. Beginnend mit dem Einkauf der Rohmaterialien, über die Konstruktion der Bauteile, die mechanische Bearbeitung, Wärmebehandlung, den gesamten Montageprozess bis zur Endkontrolle. Es werden zahlreiche Qualitätskontrollen vom Rohmaterialeinkauf an durchgeführt. Die Kontrollen basieren auf Wissen und Erfahrung in metallurgischen Prozessen und Werkstofftechnik.

Funktionen der oberen Stützrollen: Sie stützen die Kette zwischen dem Kettenrad und dem Spannrad. Die Laufflächenhaltbarkeit der Rolle ist an die Haltbarkeit der Kettenglieder angepasst. Stützrollen haben induktiv gehärtete Schalen zur Steigerung der Oberflächenhärte, Verschleißfestigkeit und Ermüdungsbeständigkeit bei Erhalt der Kerneigenschaften. Werte im Bereich von 50 – 58 HRC. Wellen und Lager sind so konstruiert, dass Reibung und Verschleiß minimiert und maximale Belastbarkeit gewährleistet werden. Für die gesamte Nutzungsdauer geschmiert, um den Wartungsaufwand zu reduzieren.

Bronzebuchsen-Gleitlager. Die Konstruktion bietet eine große Oberfläche zur besseren Lastverteilung. Die weiche Bronzeschicht im Lager schützt vor kleinen Verunreinigungen, die Welle und Dichtungen beschädigen könnten. Die Duo-Cone-Dichtung besteht aus zwei Metalldichtringen und zwei Gummiringen. Die Gummiringe sorgen auf beiden Seiten der Metalldichtringe für den richtigen Druck. Widerstandsfähig gegen bleibende Verformungen und Temperaturschwankungen von -40 °C bis 110 °C. Die Duo-Cone-Dichtungen sind so ausgelegt, dass sie mehrere Lebensdauern der Lauffläche je nach individuellen Bedingungen überstehen.
