ITR Tension Wheel for YANMAR YB301
Our Idler wheels are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and are properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. They are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs that meet the most stringent industry specifications. Our Idler wheels are assembled on production lines with an automatic oil filling process to ensure their reliability and durability.
They are available in various configurations, which include:
- Tension wheel shell
- Tension wheel with sleeve and shaft
- Tension wheel with brackets
- Tension wheel with fork
- Tension wheel with a tensioner
Our Idler wheels are designed to meet all working requirements in tough conditions, ensuring reliability and long service life.
Quality of ITR Tension Wheels
Our range includes a wide selection of tension wheels, from mini excavators to mining machines, providing high quality and performance. Starting from KUBOTA® K008 (with an operating weight of 0.9 tons) up to KOMATSU® D475 A5 (with an operating weight of 101 tons), we offer comprehensive solutions. Our engineering and R&D departments in Italy, South Korea, and China collaborate to combine know-how, technology, and development capabilities. Local engineering departments in each manufacturing plant have specialized knowledge of the components produced, and the headquarters Italian Engineering coordinates all activities.
Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels
The function of the tension wheel is to properly tension and guide the track chain, ensuring its proper winding. The tension wheel and the tensioner work together to maintain a specified degree of track tension. Efficient chain tension is a crucial factor affecting undercarriage durability. The optimal sag for conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track in an 80-horsepower machine with a sag of 12mm will have a tension of 2540 kg when measured in the track tensioner. In contrast, the same machine, with the suggested sag of 50 mm, will have a tension value of 362 kg. An overly tense track increases pressure, leading to greater wear on the track bushings and drive wheel teeth, as well as contact of the chain with the tension wheel and rollers. Appropriate tread hardness, equal to or greater than that of the chain links and travel and support rollers, ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication ensures minimal maintenance throughout the entire service life.
