Track tensioning wheel. Width of the inner guide flange 20mm complete with shaft.
Idler wheels ITR for mini-excavators and compact loaders are manufactured using the latest automated design and production processes.
ITR Tensioning Wheel for LIBRA 114 S
They are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and properly heat-treated to ensure outstanding field performance in extreme working conditions. Idler wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, produced in accordance with the most stringent specifications in the industry. Assembly takes place on assembly lines with an automatic oil filling process. Idler wheels are available in various configurations:
- Shell of the tensioning wheel
- Tensioning wheel with bushing and shaft
- Tensioning wheel with brackets
- Tensioning wheel with fork
- Tensioning wheel with tensioner
Quality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The range of tensioning wheels includes equipment from mini-excavators to mining machines from KUBOTA® K008 (machine operating weight 0.9 tons) to KOMATSU® D475 A5 (machine operating weight 101 tons). The engineering and R&D departments are located in Italy, South Korea, and China and collaborate to combine know-how, technology, and development capabilities. The engineering departments located in each production facility have specific knowledge of locally produced components, while the headquarters of Italian Engineering coordinates all activities.
Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The function of the tensioning wheel is to support the track chain and guide it so that it is properly wound. Additionally, the tensioning wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a specified degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is the correct chain tension. The correct deflection for all conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a deflection of 12mm will have a tension value of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. The same machine with the suggested deflection of 50 mm will have a tension value of 362 kg. An excessively tight track increases pressure, causing greater wear on the track bushings when in contact with the drive wheel teeth and in the chain-tensioning wheel-roller contact. A tread hardness equal to or greater than the chain links, track rollers, and support rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material type: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lifetime lubrication to minimize maintenance.
