Our Idler wheels are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and are properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. We install them using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, meeting the most stringent specifications in the industry. Our Idler wheels are assembled on production lines with an automatic oil filling process, ensuring their reliability and durability.

Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels

The function of the tension wheel is to properly tension and guide the track chain, ensuring its correct winding. The tension wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a specified degree of track tension. Efficient chain tension is a key factor influencing the durability of the undercarriage. The optimal sag for conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a 12mm sag will have a tension of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. Meanwhile, the same machine, with the suggested sag of 50 mm, will have a tension of 362 kg. An overly tense track increases pressure, leading to greater wear of the track bushings and sprocket teeth, as well as contact of the chain with the tension wheel and rollers. Proper tread hardness, equal to or greater than the chain links and running and supporting rollers, ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication ensures minimal maintenance throughout the operational life.

Funktionalität der ITR-Spannräder

Die Funktion des Spannrades besteht darin, die Kette der Fahrwerkskette richtig zu spannen und zu führen, um deren korrekte Wicklung zu gewährleisten. Spannrad und Spanner arbeiten zusammen, um einen bestimmten Spannungsgrad der Kette zu erhalten. Eine effektive Kettenspannung ist ein entscheidender Faktor für die Haltbarkeit des Fahrwerks. Die optimale Durchbiegung für konventionelle Ketten beträgt etwa 50 mm (+-5 mm). Beispielsweise hat eine Kette an einer Maschine mit 80 PS und einer Durchbiegung von 12 mm eine Spannung von 2540 kg zum Zeitpunkt der Messung am Kettenspanner. Dieselbe Maschine hat bei der empfohlenen Durchbiegung von 50 mm eine Spannung von 362 kg. Eine übermäßig gespannte Kette erhöht den Druck, was zu einem höheren Verschleiß der Kettenbuchsen sowie der Zähne des Antriebsrades führt und zudem den Kontakt der Kette mit dem Spannrad und den Rollen verstärkt. Die geeignete Härte der Laufbahn, gleich oder höher als die der Kettenglieder sowie der Lauf- und Tragrollen, gewährleistet Schlagfestigkeit und ausgewogene Lebensdauer. Material: SCMn3A, Härtung 50-55 HRC. Permanente Schmierung minimiert die Wartung während der gesamten Nutzungsdauer.
