ITR Tension Wheel for KUBOTA KX151
Our Tension wheels are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and are appropriately heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. We assemble them using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, meeting the industry's most stringent specifications. Our Tension wheels are assembled on production lines with an automatic oil filling process, ensuring their reliability and durability.
Available in various configurations, which include:
- Tension wheel shell
- Tension wheel with sleeve and shaft
- Tension wheel with brackets
- Tension wheel with fork
- Tension wheel with tensioner
Our Tension wheels are designed to meet all work requirements in harsh conditions, ensuring reliability and long lifespan.
Quality of ITR Tension Wheels
Our range includes a wide selection of tension wheels, from mini excavators to mining machines, ensuring high quality and performance. Starting from KUBOTA® K008 (with an operating weight of 0.9 tons) to KOMATSU® D475 A5 (with an operating weight of 101 tons), we offer comprehensive solutions. Our engineering and R&D departments in Italy, South Korea, and China collaborate to combine knowledge, technology, and development capabilities. Local engineering departments at each production facility possess specialized knowledge about the components produced, and the Italian Engineering headquarters coordinates all activities.
Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels
The function of the tension wheel is to properly tension and guide the track chain, ensuring its proper winding. The tension wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a specified degree of track tension. Efficient chain tension is a key factor affecting undercarriage durability. Optimal sag for conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a sag of 12mm will have a tension of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. Meanwhile, the same machine, with the suggested 50 mm sag, will have a tension of 362 kg. An excessively tight track increases pressure, leading to greater wear of the track sleeves and drive wheel teeth, as well as contact between the chain and tension wheel and rollers. Proper tread hardness, equal to or greater than the chain links and road and support rollers, ensures resistance to impacts and balanced durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication ensures minimal maintenance throughout the service life.
