They are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. Tensioning wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing constructions, produced according to the most stringent specifications in the industry. Assembly takes place on assembly lines with an automated oil filling process. Tensioning wheels can be chosen in various configurations:

Quality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The range of tensioning wheels includes equipment from mini excavators to mining machines from KUBOTA® K008 (machine operating weight 0.9 tons) to KOMATSU® D475 A5 (machine operating weight 101 tons). Engineering and R&D departments are located in Italy, South Korea, and China and work together to combine know-how, technology, and development capabilities. Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The function of the tensioning wheel is to support the track chain and guide it so that it is properly wound. Besides, the tensioning wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a specific degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is the correct chain tension. The correct sag for all conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a sag of 12mm will have a tension value of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. The same machine with a suggested sag of 50 mm will have a tension value of 362 kg. An excessively tight track increases pressure, which causes greater wear on the track bushings when in contact with the drive sprocket teeth and in the chain-tensioning wheel-roller contact. Tread hardness equal to or greater than that of the chain links, driving rollers, and supporting rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Type of material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lifetime lubrication to minimize maintenance.
