ITR Tensioning Wheel for FIAT HITACHI FH45
They are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. Idler wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, manufactured in accordance with the most stringent industry specifications. Assembly takes place on assembly lines with an automatic oil filling process. Idler wheels can be selected in various configurations:

Quality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The range of tensioning wheels includes equipment from mini excavators to mining machines from KUBOTA® K008 (machine operating weight 0.9 tons) to KOMATSU® D475 A5 (machine operating weight 101 tons). Engineering and R&D departments are located in Italy, South Korea, and China and work together to combine know-how, technology, and development capabilities. Engineering departments located in each production plant have specific knowledge about locally produced components, while the Italian Engineering headquarters coordinates all activities.
Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The function of the tensioning wheel is to support the track chain and guide it so that it is properly wound. Additionally, the tensioning wheel and tensioner cooperate to maintain a specified degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is correct chain tension. Proper slack for all conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a deflection of 12mm will have a tension of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. The same machine with a suggested deflection of 50mm will have a tension of 362 kg. An excessively tight track increases pressure, causing greater wear on the track bushings when in contact with the drive wheel teeth and in the track-tension wheel-roller contact. A tread hardness equal to or greater than the chain links, driving rollers, and support rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material type: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lifetime lubrication to minimize maintenance.
