ITR Tensioning Wheel for KUBOTA K038
They are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. Idler wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, produced according to the most stringent industry specifications. Assembly takes place on assembly lines with an automatic oil filling process. Idler wheels can be selected in different configurations:

Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The function of the tensioning wheel is to support the track chain and guide it to be properly wound. Additionally, the tensioning wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a certain degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is the correct tension of the chain. The correct sag for all conventional tracks is approximately 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track in an 80-horsepower machine with a 12mm sag will have a tension value of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. The same machine with the suggested 50mm sag will have a tension value of 362 kg. An excessively tight track increases pressure, causing greater wear on the track bushings upon contact with the drive sprocket teeth and in the chain-tensioning wheel-roller contact. Tread hardness equal to or greater than the chain links, running rollers, and support rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material type: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lubrication for the entire operational period to minimize maintenance.
