Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels
Tension Wheels are a key element in maintaining the proper tension and guidance of the track chain, which affects its proper winding. They work with the tensioner to maintain optimal tension, which is crucial for the chassis's durability. Correct tension setting, e.g., 50 mm (+-5mm) for conventional tracks, significantly impacts the machine's wear and performance. For instance, an overly tense chain can lead to increased wear on the track bushings and drive sprocket teeth. The appropriate hardness of the tread, equal to or greater than the chain links and support and carrier rollers, ensures resistance to damage and increases durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication contributes to minimizing maintenance during operation.
