Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels
Tension wheels are a key element in maintaining proper tension and guiding of the track chain, which translates into its proper winding. They work with the tensioner to maintain optimal tension, which is crucial for the durability of the undercarriage. Correct tension setting, e.g., 50 mm (+-5mm) for conventional tracks, significantly impacts wear and machine performance. For example, an overly tight chain may lead to increased wear of the track sleeve and sprocket teeth. Appropriate hardness of the tread, equal to or greater than the track links and support and carrier rollers, ensures resistance to damage and increases durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication contributes to minimizing maintenance during operation.
