Functionality of ITR Idler Wheels
Idler wheels are a key element in maintaining proper tension and guiding the track chain, which affects its proper winding. They work in conjunction with the tensioner to maintain optimal tension, crucial for the durability of the undercarriage. Correct tension setting, for example, 50 mm (+-5mm) for conventional tracks, has a significant impact on machine wear and efficiency. For instance, an overly tight chain can lead to increased wear of the track bushing and drive wheel teeth. The appropriate hardness of the tread, equal to or greater than the chain links and supporting and carrying rollers, provides resistance to damage and increases durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication contributes to minimizing maintenance during operation.
