ITR Tensioning Wheel for IHI 9 NX
They are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and appropriately heat-treated to ensure outstanding field performance in extreme working conditions. Tensioning wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, manufactured in accordance with the most stringent industry specifications. Assembly is carried out on assembly lines with an automatic oil filling process. Tensioning wheels can be selected in various configurations:

Quality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The range of tensioning wheels includes equipment from mini excavators to mining machines from KUBOTA® K008 (machine operating weight 0.9 tons) to KOMATSU® D475 A5 (machine operating weight 101 tons). Engineering and R&D departments are located in Italy, South Korea, and China and collaborate to combine know-how, technology, and development capabilities. Engineering departments located at each production plant have specific knowledge of locally produced components, while the headquarters Italian Engineering coordinates all activities.
Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The function of the tensioning wheel is to support and guide the track chain so that it is properly wound. Additionally, the tensioning wheel and adjuster work together to maintain a specific degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is the correct chain tension. The correct sag for all conventional tracks is approximately 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on a machine with 80 horsepower with a sag of 12mm will have a tension value of 2540 kg when measured at the track adjuster. The same machine with the suggested sag of 50mm will have a tension value of 362 kg. An overly tight track increases pressure, leading to greater wear on the track bushings when in contact with the sprocket teeth and in chain-tensioning wheel-roller contact. Tread hardness equal to or greater than chain links, drive rollers, and support rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material type: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lifetime lubrication to minimize maintenance.
