Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels
Tension wheels are a crucial element in maintaining proper chain tension and guidance for the track, which affects its proper winding. They work with the tensioner to maintain optimal tension, which is key to the durability of the undercarriage. Correct tension setting, e.g., 50 mm (+-5mm) for conventional tracks, has a significant impact on machine wear and performance. For example, an overly tight chain can lead to greater wear of the track bushings and drive wheel teeth. Appropriate tread hardness, equal to or greater than the chain links and support and carrier rollers, ensures resistance to damage and increases durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication contributes to minimizing maintenance during operation.
