Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
Tensioning wheels are a key element in maintaining the proper tension and guidance of the track chain, which translates into its proper winding. They work together with the adjuster to maintain optimal tension, which is crucial for the durability of the undercarriage. Correct tension setting, for example, 50 mm (+-5mm) for conventional tracks, has a significant impact on machine wear and performance. For instance, an excessively tight chain can lead to greater wear of the track bushings and sprocket teeth. The appropriate hardness of the tread, equal to or greater than the chain links and running and supporting rollers, provides resistance to damage and increases durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Continuous lubrication helps minimize maintenance during operation.
