They are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and are properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. Track tensioning wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, manufactured to the industry's most stringent specifications. Assembly is done on production lines with an automated oil-filling process. Track tensioning wheels can be selected in various configurations:

Functionality of ITR Track Tensioning Wheels
The function of the track tensioning wheel is to support the track chain and guide it so that it is properly wound. Additionally, the tensioning wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a specific degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is correct chain tension. Correct deflection for all conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a deflection of 12mm will have a tension of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. The same machine with the suggested deflection of 50mm will have a tension of 362 kg. An excessively tensioned track increases pressure, which causes more wear on the track bushings when in contact with the drive sprocket teeth and in the chain-tensioning wheel-roller contact. A tread hardness equal to or greater than the chain links, drive and carrier rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material type: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lifetime lubrication to minimize maintenance.
