Our Tension wheels are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. We assemble them using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, meeting the most stringent industry specifications. Our Tension wheels are assembled on production lines with an automatic oil filling process, ensuring their reliability and durability.

Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels
The function of the tension wheel is to appropriately tension and guide the track chain, ensuring its proper winding. The tension wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a specified degree of track tension. Proper chain tension is a key factor affecting undercarriage durability. The optimal deflection for conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a 12mm deflection will have a tension of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. However, the same machine, with the suggested 50mm deflection, will have a tension of 362 kg. An overly tight track increases pressure, leading to greater wear on the track bushings and drive wheel teeth, as well as contact between the chain and the tension wheel and rollers. Appropriate tread hardness, equal to or greater than the chain links and running and supporting rollers, ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication ensures minimized maintenance throughout the service life.
